Title: Cable TV Installer

  • Candidates must be able to pass pre-employment testing (MVR, drug and background)

Title: Telecom Technician

Duties and Requirements:

  • Install, maintain and repair Key and PBX systems including Nortel, Lucent, Avaya, Mitel, NEC, Comdail, Toshiba, ect. including related hardware, voicemail, service sets and configuration. Install CAT-5/6 cable and other low voltage wire and cabling, network hardware and IP telephone sets and peripherals.
  • Minimum of three years experience programming Key and PBX systems and telephone sets. Understanding of computer data networks, TCP/IP, SIP, VLAN, MPLS, UDP, LAN, WAN, Ethernet.
  • Provide engineering assistance and procurement of materials and supplies related to the installation, modification and repair of Key, PBX and other business systems.
  • Must be able to lift and operate ladders and work from elevations of up to twenty feet.
  • Must be able to lift objects weighing up to seventy-five pounds
  • Must be available for after hours and weekend shifts to meet customer requirements
  • Must have a clean driving record and pass a drug screen and background check
  • Employee must maintain a positive attitude at all times, have a willingness to learn, be organized, and maintain the standards set by Troy Cablevision, Inc.

Other requirements include:

  • GED or High School Diploma
  • Experience in Telecommunications
  • The ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Reliable transportation
